Ignite your professional learning.

Growth and development are an expected element of working in a public Montessori school. We learn so much every day from the children and the work we do together. It’s important to take time individually and as a community to learn new skills and discover new tools to support the strongest Montessori implementation.

PMAI professional development courses and training are available throughout the year and are designed for public schools of the global majority. Our courses are designed by seasoned Montessori educators and continually updated with the latest learning, research, and information available. Take a look at our upcoming live trainings.

Forums

Forums are an intentional community of practice, formed to provide support for on-going professional development across the school year. They provide time with other practitioners who are focused on the same work, share the same goals, and bring a variety of perspectives creating dynamism within the work to bring back to the schools being served.

Coaches Forum

Following the Montessori Coaching Course, the Coaching Forum is an opportunity to meet with other coaches across the school year. Meetings occur every other week and provide an opportunity to deepen your practice, learn new skills and receive guidance with the use of the various tools.

Stewards Forum

Montessori school leadership has unique demands that require a specific lens on the work. This forum creates connections for school leaders to share resources and benefit from ideas, systems, and tools being developed and used in public Montessori schools. Whether you have taken the Building Resilient Schools Workshop, this will offer you support as you implement Montessori in the public sector.

Nautilus Forum

The Nautilus Forum is designed for Nautilus Leads who are implementing the Nautilus Approach in their community. The syllabus follows the arc of the school year, meeting every other week to solidify elements of both the Nautilus training and the Nautilus Lead training.

Adolescent Forum

This forum exists to support Adolescent guides in either enhancing an existing adolescent program or clarifying the vision to launch a middle school or high school. Meeting once a month to discuss best practices in a high-fidelity Montessori secondary program, each session will focus on a specific strategy or thinking routine to build your Montessori toolkit.
